Excerpts from letters received at headquarters:

"Since reading the Urantia Book and trying very hard to put these teachings to work in our home, my husband feels we have more harmony, peace and love than he would ever have believed possible. We love the phrase 'Sanctified common sense,' and try to use it in caring for our family.''

"First, I thank God and everyone that may have been connected with the publishing of the book Urantia, God's revelation of truth to mankind, - those of this world and those of the spiritual universe.

"The edition I have read belongs to the San Antonio Public Library, and so I would like to have a copy for my own use, if you will be kind enough to inform me of the current price. I feel this book is the most important book ever so far published on this world, and that it's value is greater than that of all the universities now in existence."

"I am 12 years old. I really don't know where to begin. It's hard to put words into feelings. I have your book and I would like to ask you about the pathway to Paradise. I suppose it's something everyone has to find for himself. There are just so many beautiful things to see and learn. I'd love it if somebody at the Foundation could act as a counselor, please.''

"I have begun reading Urantia. The adventure is like nothing I've known before.''

"Hello! I am a student at the Ohio State University and a truth seeker on the Path. Recently I ran across the Urantia Book while looking for spiritual publi-cations in the Ohio State Library. I find that this book is one of the best written and most comprehensive on the subject that I have seen. It would require that I have the book out of the library for too long for me to read it. It would deprive others of its use. Could you please send a price quote on the book if it is on sale?''

"By accident I have come across a copy of "Urantia" It speaks to me of things I have always sensed but could not define or express.''

"I am currently engaged in reading a publication of the Foundation, The Urantia Book. Naturally, I am overwhelmed and humbled by this immense work. Its teachings bring warmth and light to my hungry soul. Please allow me to say how powerful an impact this manuscript has had on myself and several other similarly involved friends. I feel extremely fortunate to have encountered this enlightening work."

"...I still find time to read and study the Urantia Book. But then that's not what I call hard to do, it's more like hearing sung a melody so pure and sweet, that it causes the deepest part of me to smile."

"A few days ago I saw your 'The Urantia Book' and started to glance through it. I simply couldn't put it down. So I bought it. Have never seen any book so fas-cinating. As a student of astrology, the sciences and metaphysical subjects as well, I have always had a searching need for a route to God."

"Jesus led men to feel at home in the world; he delivered them from the slavery of taboo and taught them that the world was not fundamentally evil. He did not long to escape from his earthly life; he mastered a technique of acceptably doing the Father's will while in the flesh. He attained an idealistic religious life in the very midst of a realistic world. Jesus did not share Paul's pessimistic view of humankind. The Master looked upon men as the sons of God and foresaw a magnificent and eternal future for those who chose survival. He was not a moral skeptic; he viewed man positively, not negatively. He saw most men as weak rather than wicked, more distraught than depraved. But no matter what their status, they were all God's children and his brethren.

"He taught men to place a high value upon themselves in time and in eternity. Be-cause of this high estimate which Jesus placed upon men, he was willing to spend himself in the unremitting service of humankind. And it was this infinite worth of finite that made the golden rule a vital factor in his religion. What mortal can fail to be uplifted by the extraordinary faith Jesus has in him?" Page 2093
