 Urantia BROTHERHOOD BULLETIN
July 3, 1968

Plans are progressing for the summer study session to be held at 533 Diversey Parkway, Chicago, August 2 and 3. The theme will be "Mortal Ascension to Paradise." We will attempt to follow an ascendant mortal's career through his significant experiences on Urantia, through the morontia life in the system, constellation, and local universe, and his experiences as a first-stage spirit in the minor and major sectors and the superuniverse headquarters. Then we will follow his progression through Havona and his graduate experience on Paradise, and his induction into the Corps of the Finality. We will conclude the session with speculation about the future and then attempt to derive inspiration and meaning for us as we are now.

Enclosed is a registration form, a program, and a list of hotels in the neighborhood. We suggest making your hotel reservations in advance and sending a deposit to insure their holding the room. If you are planning to attend this session and have not yet sent in your registration, we would appreciate it very much if you would do so immediately. If you discover later that you cannot be present, your registration can be canceled and any fees paid will be refunded. It is most important that we have an accurate count as soon as possible on how many will be here, for material is being prepared in advance. The question of how much space we will need is also vital.

From the interest shown and the registrations that have already been received we anticipate a large enrollment. It will be very helpful to us to know as quickly as possible how many we need to provide for.

The following societies have reported the election of new officers: First Urantia Society: Arthur M. Burch, President; Miss E.L. Christensen, Vice President; Mrs. Lillian Wallin, Secretary; Mrs. Helen Carlson, Treasurer. Urantia Society of Glenview: Burton Harris, President; Bernard Burton, Vice President; Harry E. Rowley, Secretary; Mrs. Donna Rowley, Treasurer. Orvonton Urantia Society of Chicago: Alfred Leverenz, President; Mrs. Olga Unverzagt, Vice President; Mrs. Mary Sgaraglino, secretary; Robert Smatlak, Treasurer.

The Executive Committee of the Urantia Brotherhood is happy to announce its approval of another member-at-large: Mr. Bernell C. Nelson of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The Urantia Brotherhood School is again planning two 9-week seminar sessions, the first one starting October 2 and going through December 4.

There are no more first editions of the Urantia Book for sale! We received the second printing March 1. Nearly 400 of these have been sold. From all indications the second printing is going to be sold much more quickly than the first.

A reminder to all General Councilors: The General Council of the Urantia Brotherhood will meet at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, August 4, at Urantia Headquarters. Formal notice to councilors will follow shortly.

AND DON'T FORGET our happiest meeting of all, Wednesday, August 21, at 8:00 p.m. when we come together at 533 Diversey Parkway for our traditional celebration of Jesus' birthday. Bring your friends with you.
