Dear Christy;
A really nice hospitality awaited us in the well organized group of this "provincial capital." A reporter came to their [unclear] Saturday meeting and interviewed me and also Berkeley Elliott, after what he published the enclosed article in The Daily Oklahoman. A few hours later, the local bookseller had sold his 6 volume reserve of The Urantia Book and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of an order of 20 which he had sent you on August 10. In the meantime, the group brought him 10 volumes for the immediate demand -- a half dozen telephone calls asked for the book and information within hours.
At noon, I spoke at the T.V. station and heard from an unknown customer in the bookshop that it had been excellent.
So you can expect more orders from here in the very near future. After tomorrow, I leave for California according to schedule, but there I am due to speak only to Urantia gropus without mass diffusion.
Concerning the German translation, I am already thinking, with eager interest, of your comments of quality which I will surely find upon my return to Paris. My young Canadian friends qualify themselves as beyond expectation for our common task.
As for Bob Burton; I think that he will keep awaiting [unclear] for the time being concerning his Spanish translation. I'm sure you will tell all that to MM, Hales and Kendall.
