Dear  Member of the Executive Committee:

In an emergency meeting on July 17, 1989, the Executive Committee of Urantia Brotherhood convened to consider matters of to Urantia Brotherhood and in doing so, although disclaiming such an intent, attempted to assume jurisdiction over the internal affairs of URAITTIA Foundation. Under the leadership of your president, David N. Elders, you heard the complaints of two recently resigned trustees; you considered comments from members of the Executive Committee; and then, without discussing any of the complaints or comments with me or another Trustee, you authorized a letter dated July 21, 1989, to the Trustees of Urantia Foundation condemning me as Trustee and President of Urantia Foundation.

Both individually and in my role as a Trustee, I denounce your attack on me as unprecedented and improper.

Your letter makes unfounded accusations against me including, mistrust of fellow workers, outbursts of anger, character assassination, and use of lesser means to achieve worthwhile ends. In my opinion, your letter is clearly an outburst of anger; it exhibits a high degree of mistrust of my motives and methods; it assassinates my character; and it uses an improper means to achieve what you feel is a worthwhile end.

However you attempt to justify your conduct in this matter, you must be aware that the process you have used is a noteworthy departure from the goals and purposes of an organization which exists to render spiritual service. Please reconsider your unwarranted actions.

Very truly yours,

Martin W. Myers
